Algonquin College 2012

To help us launch the Face2Face Project in 2012, we partnered with Ottawa-based Algonquin College teacher and program coordinator, Jeremy Atherton, and his talented first year classes in the Broadcasting & Television Program, harnessing their skills and knowledge of video production for a good cause – STORYTELLING!  Check out their stories.

In a story unlike any other, Gerald Duplessis or "Doc", talks about how he came to purchase a boarding house in Little Italy, where he rents rooms to people in need of a home. A truly heartwarming tale told by a man who is always looking on the bright side of life.

John Froome, founder of Sleighs Away, in 1987, talks about his contribution to Ottawa's history, and tourism industry, as the man who rented the infamous red sleighs of the Rideau Canal.
